Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about ordering, quotes, payment, export, halal lines, lead times and shelf life.
Ordering & Quotes
All orders are arranged by email. Send your enquiry through our contact form or email sales@griefinternationalholdingbv.nl with your business details, the products and brands you need, the quantities (cartons or pallets), and your destination country. We confirm availability and send a tailored quotation, usually within one business day. Once you approve the proforma invoice and payment is received, we prepare and ship your order.
Minimum order quantities are set per carton or pallet and vary by category — for example, confectionery typically starts at around 10 cartons, drinks and frozen lines from one pallet, and ICUMSA sugar by full container. Smaller lines can usually be combined to make up a full pallet or container. See the indicative table on our Wholesale Programme page, and contact us to confirm the minimums that apply to your specific order.
For established lines we can usually arrange product samples or a sample carton ahead of a larger order, subject to availability and shipping costs. Samples are most relevant for private-label or sourcing projects where you want to verify pack format and specification. Mention your sample requirements when you email sales@griefinternationalholdingbv.nl and we will advise on what is possible.
Yes. Beyond our standard branded range, our sourcing team can locate specific brands, pack sizes and hard-to-find lines, and build a custom assortment for your market. We also support private-label projects. Share your requirements and target quantities with us and we will tell you what can be sourced and on what timeline.
Pricing & Payment
Pricing is quote-based. Because rates depend on the current market, the brands and quantities ordered, the chosen incoterm and the destination, we do not publish fixed prices. Send us your requirement and we will return a clear, itemised quotation. The more you order, the more competitive the per-unit price on full pallets and containers.
Orders are confirmed against a proforma invoice and settled by bank transfer (SEPA within the EU, SWIFT internationally). For new customers we generally work on prepayment before dispatch. Once a regular trading history is established, tailored terms can be discussed. Invoices are issued in euros (EUR).
Each quotation states clearly what is included based on the agreed incoterm. Import duties, destination VAT and customs clearance fees in the importing country are the buyer's responsibility. For intra-EU B2B sales, valid VAT details allow the supply to be handled under the appropriate VAT rules. We can advise on HS codes and documentation to help you estimate landed cost.
Shipping & Export
We ship from the Netherlands across the EU and worldwide. With the Port of Rotterdam and Amsterdam Schiphol nearby, we have direct access to major sea and air routes to every continent. If your destination is not shown on our Shipping page, contact us — we can usually arrange custom freight routes to almost any location.
In-stock lines are typically dispatched within a few business days of confirmed payment. Transit then depends on destination and method: within the Netherlands and Benelux 1-3 days, elsewhere in the EU 2-7 days, the Middle East 5-12 days, and sea freight to Africa, the Americas and Asia Pacific commonly 10-30 days. Air freight via Schiphol is available for urgent orders. Sourced or private-label lines have lead times confirmed at quotation.
We trade on Incoterms 2020 — commonly EXW Amstelveen, FCA, FOB Rotterdam, or CIF/CIP to your port. We prepare full export documentation including the commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, EUR.1 movement certificate where applicable, halal certificates, and health or phytosanitary documents when required. Tell us your preferred incoterm when requesting a quote.
Products & Quality
Yes — every product is genuine and sourced through legitimate channels. We supply the world's leading brands, including Ferrero, Kinder, Nutella, Trolli, Coca-Cola, Heineken and Lay's, alongside halal sweets and ICUMSA-graded sugar. We operate under Dutch and EU food-safety standards and can provide product specifications and traceability information on request.
Yes, we carry a range of halal-certified confectionery and sweets. Where a line holds halal certification we can supply copies of the certificates for your import documentation. If you need a filtered list of halal-approved items for your market, let us know and we will put one together for your quote.
We operate first-in, first-out (FIFO) stock rotation and aim to dispatch goods with a generous remaining shelf life — generally a minimum of 70% of the best-before period at the time of dispatch. Exact dates depend on the product and can be confirmed for your order. Ice cream, frozen and temperature-sensitive lines are stored and shipped under the correct cold-chain conditions in reefer containers or insulated packaging.
